I love this theme song. Lex Luger's best song as a heel in the NWA/WCW. Brings back memories of his feuds with Sting and briefly with Ricky Steamboat in the late 80's when he was U.S. Champ. Thanks for posting this song.

Kevin Sullivan (booker for WCW in the 90s) said he was a team player and that he could depend on him. The difference between him and other ex-WCW guys that usually give their opinion on Lex: Kevin is not currently employed by World Wrestling Entertainment and their slander factory (see Warrior DVD). Lex jumped ship before the first Nitro, and never showed up on WWE after the takeover. Put 2 and 2 together.

I really doubt that he hated wrestling. But then, I don't know him personally. He seemed pretty enthusiastic and intense about it from the matches I've seen throughout his career. I never saw him walk through a match. He may have liked football and bodybuilding more, but knew his football career was over, and that bodybuilding by itself wasn't financially rewarding.

I've been going back and watching a lot of late 80's JCP and early 90's WCW and even I, a Luger fan, was stunned to see just how over he was, especially after he turned face. Of course his most over year was 1997 when he was the 2nd most over face in wrestling next to Sting.

Holding somebody down doesn't really mean not making them look good in a match. It means not having long feuds with them and eventually putting them over. Hogan takes all the heat for it but Flair was just as bad if not worse. Only thing is dumb internet reporters and fans try to change history because they were fans of Flair and not Hogan.

He absolutely deserved it at Summer Slam 93 against Yoko and was supposed to get it. But Shawn Michaels and his crew convinced Vince not to do it by saying Luger didn't care about wrestling. And, again, internet reporters try to revisit history by saying Luger wasn't over enough to warrant the belt. That is a total lie as the the footage clearly shows Luger over as fuck.
